WHAT TYPE OF WORMS DO YOU HAVE?

We use Red Wigglers ‘eisenia fetida’ — they have proven to be the best at breaking down organic material.

 

WHAT KIND OF DIET ARE THEY FED?

We feed a mixture of cold manure, mushroom compost, locally sourced wood chips, a blend of eggshell / avocado peel / banana peel, and dried cannabis leaves. Worm bedding is kept moist at 80% humidity with PH neutral oxygenated filtered water. No supplement feed added! 

 

HOW LONG ARE THE WORMS WITH THE MATERIAL?

In order to achieve a deep, dark rich material, full of microbial life, our worms are left for a minimum of 45 - 60 days, allowing them time to sufficiently work through all material.

 

ARE THESE 100% PURE CASTINGS?

As close as we can get! We maintain a balance between healthy worms and finishing the castings.

 

WHAT’S THE TIME FRAME FROM CASTING TO CUSTOMER?

Ensuring your castings arrive full of life and rich with nutrients is our main goal. We do not harvest until we receive your order. Our castings are then held at 40 - 45% relative humidity and are sold by volume, not weight. 

 

RECOMMENDED USAGE --

1 part castings to 4 parts soil. 

 

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO USE YOUR CASTINGS --

Plant Tea: 1/2 cup of casting per gallon of water. Soak for 24 hrs, shake & water plants.
